Thanks for visiting my web site. This web site and the “Story of the Blue Trucks” is an important story to tell, because it is a
period that affected so many people lives that lived in the Camden area. Many people believe that it was the coal industry; the
trucks and the mines that helped to establish the wealth in the Camden district in the early years. Even though the trucks are no
longer present, the relatives of people that once worked in the industry might like to know a bit about the trucks that their fathers
or grandfathers drove.

It has been my privilege to research the short history of the Blue trucks, and present what I feel is the most accurate account of
events available. My dad was a Blue Truck driver and as you may have guessed, that is a picture of me, so telling this story is
important to me. I started driving as a weekend casual in the coal industry in1990 for Bulkhaul when I was 24 years old & now 18
years later I am still there. Before that, I spent time working as a mechanic in the Clutha workshops at Narellan working on their
fleet of 70 White Roadbosses.

I hope you enjoy reading this story, I have spent many hours engaged in telephone conversations & visits to the drivers in order to
piece together the details on the vehicle ages, specifications and approximate fleet numbers in addition to obtaining permissions
to use the photos and video of these trucks at work.

Signed
